One Stop Shop for Middle School (other grades too)

http://www.thinkfinity.org/

This website embodies ALL of the "This We Believe" characteristics. I was impressed with the website and will log this site into my brain for future reference. It has so much to explore as educators, parents, community leaders, and all other stakeholders. It provides a place to locate lesson plans, professional development, blogs, discussion boards, resources, just about anything one could need. I really liked the tab labeled at home and afterschool. It provides different interactive websites for educational games, suggestions for technology use, and so much more. This site is not just for middle school but can used for other grades as well. With all the wonderful resources available on site, it helps develop individualized instruction for each student. If a child needs lessons or resources on a lower level it is there, or if a child needs a challenge it is also there. There is even a place to search state standards. The entire website is easy to navigate and detailed even the most technology challenged person could use. This is a one stop shop for any needs needed as an educator.

  1. Candice,

I am so glad that you posted this website. My parents are all the time asking me for intervention resources online, and now I can direct them to this website. The navigation of the site was very easy to deal with, and I loved how you could pick out specifically what you wanted to work on with your child. Awesome way to give parents the opportunity to learn and grow academically with their child. Thanks so much!

  2. This is a really great website! I'm like you Lindsey, I never really have any websites that I can suggest to parents, because most websites are geared more towards teachers. Now I have something to share with them! I noticed under the afterschool tab they also had project modules. There were some neat ideas for activities that you could incorporate in all content areas. I also noticed that they had a Read Write Think for parents. That is also a wonderful webite: www.readwritethink.org Check it out too : ) Thanks for sharing Candice!

  3. This was one of my greatest finds through this assignment. I'm glad you both found it useful. One of my favorite parts of the website was the afterschool tab because is provides a opportunity for parents to get invovled. We have spent many chat session discussing parental invovlment. Hopefully this option with help:)
